Privacy Policy
Foresemble is published by BermondStudio (“we”, “us”). For data-protection questions or requests, contact privacy@foresemble.com. BermondStudio is the data controller for the limited personal data described below.
Information processed
- Courses, golfer names, handicaps, groups, rounds, scores, event archives, templates, trip itineraries, organiser cost ledgers, cached course maps and statistics are stored locally on your device.
- A course or GPS-map search sends the course name and technical request information to our Cloudflare-hosted proxy and the selected course-data provider. Your live location is processed on your device to calculate distances and is not sent to Foresemble or GolfAPI.
- A connected round or tournament sends its scorecard, participant names, attendance, scores, tournament schedule, itinerary, organiser cost ledger, series settings, registrations (including name, email address, handicap and permitted answers), sponsors, announcements, card confirmations, audit trail and game settings to a temporary Cloudflare Durable Object. Registration details, costs and the audit trail are organiser-only. Organisers must not use registration fields to request health, identity-document, payment-card or other sensitive personal information.
- If an organiser deliberately uses scorecard photo recognition, the selected image is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to suggest scores for review. Foresemble does not add the image to the event room or retain it after the recognition request. Cloudflare states that Workers AI customer content is not used to train its models without explicit consent.
- Private RSVP and delegated organiser links are access credentials. Treat them like passwords and remove delegated access when it is no longer needed.
- Apple or Google verifies in-app purchases. Optional event payment and donation links open the organiser's chosen external provider, such as Stripe; Foresemble receives no payment-card details.
- Cloudflare and app stores may process IP addresses and technical information under their terms. Foresemble has no adverts or behavioural analytics. Privacy-preserving service diagnostics are optional and disabled by default.
Why we process information
Connected-play and support information is processed to provide the service you request and for our legitimate interests in securing, maintaining and troubleshooting Foresemble. Purchase information is processed to perform the purchase contract and prevent fraud.
Retention and deletion
Local golf data remains on your device until you delete it, restore a backup, clear app data or uninstall. Ordinary connected rooms expire after 48 hours. Active tournament data and access credentials expire 180 days after creation; finished tournament data expires 30 days after finish.
A backup you deliberately export can contain local event archives, templates and preferences as well as courses, golfers and rounds. It never contains live room tokens, private RSVP links, organiser recovery keys, claim PINs or the mutation queue. You choose where the system share sheet sends it.
Sharing and international processing
We use Cloudflare for caching, rate limiting, temporary connected play and optional scorecard recognition; course-directory providers including GolfAPI for optional searches and maps; and Apple or Google for distribution and purchases. Organiser-selected payment or fundraising providers apply their own terms. Providers may process information outside the United Kingdom using their safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Contact us to exercise them. UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children and changes
Foresemble is not directed to children under 13. A parent or organiser should not enter a child’s name in connected play without appropriate permission. We may update this policy when the app or providers change; the effective date identifies the current version.
